When I was a student at Kilgore College, a couple of Y friends and I arranged our class schedules so that we could make it to noon volleyball. Carroll was on of those guys that came for a little bit of exercise and a lot of good fun. In a play on my last name and commentary on the way I played, his nickname for me was Funky Winkerbean. He smiled when he said it and so did I. My love goes out to you who got more of him.
So many memories from playing softball with the Mill Run team to dove hunting and just being around him. My life is better because of him. He will be missed.
