William H. Gatlin's Obituary
Funeral services for William H. Bill Gatlin, Jr., age 79 of Longbranch, will be held Friday, June15, 2012 at11:00am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. David Gatlin, and Rev. Joe Gatlin officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery.
Bill went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 11, 2012 at his residence.
Bill was born on April 18, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia He served in the U.S. Army. Bill retired from Huffman I.S.D. as a HVAC technician. He was a volunteer fireman for Eastside Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents William and Montine Gatlin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Sue Gatlin. Sons, David Gatlin and wife Sandy of Henderson, Duane Gatlin and wife Kim of Humble, Deren Gatlin and Julie Deen of Humble, Daryl Gatlin and Donna Smith of Cypress, Daughters Denise Wilts and husband Wendell of Fireston, Colorado, Deana Adams and husband Mark of Whitehouse. Brother Joe Gatlin and sister-in-law Dorothea Gatlin and sister, Trudie Barnes of Stockbridge, Georgia. Bill also leaves behind eighteen grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Keith Gatlin, Kyle Gatlin, Marcus Gatlin, Matthew Gatlin, Dusten Gatlin, and Justin Curry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Gatlin and Beau Alsberry.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society
