My father, Grover Clarke, graduated from Henry Clay with Mr. Sweeney and remained phone friends until my father's death in 2003. He always talked about'Sweeney' with great respect. I spoke with Mr. Sweeney and their friend Chambliss when he died. I'm sorry I missed the burial in Paris, KY. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of another of the "greatest generation".##imported-begin##Julie Clarke Kelley Michael##imported-end##

Bill was a great leader and mentor to me. I will always be grateful for having the opportunity to work for and learn from him. In addition I think he was a really good man. I pray God's blessings on his family at this time.##imported-begin##David Frye##imported-end##
