William E. Sweaks' Obituary
Funeral services for William Edward ?Eddie? Sweaks, 84, of Longview, will be Twelve Noon Saturday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dick Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, on Friday 6 to 8 PM.
Mr. Sweaks died Tuesday afternoon after a sudden illness.
A native of Rockdale, Texas, he was born August 27, 1919 to W. E. and Mary Sweaks. He was a retired supervisor with Presley Oil Company, an avid CBer, his handle was "Little John", and loved fishing. Mr. Sweaks served his country during WWII as a Military Policeman in the US Army 5th Infantry.
He was preceded in death by a son: Billy Ed Sweaks; Brothers: Harry, Bill and Claud; Sisters: Eunice, Tessie and Shug; Brothers in Laws: Curtis and Charles Alfred.
He is survived by his wife Irene, whom he married 67 years ago; Son: Tommy Sweaks and wife Linda of Longview; Grandsons: Tim Sweaks of Longview, Chris Sweaks and wife Jennifer of Tyler, Andy Sweaks and wife Karen of Longview and Mark Turner of Longview; Granddaughter: Renee Albright of Longview; Great Grandchildren: Blain Sweaks, Reagann Sweaks, Amarah Sweaks, Ashton Sweaks, Kaden Sweaks, Aaron Turner, Sarah Turner, Jacob Delaune and Taylore Delaune; Brothers in Laws and Sisters in Law: Jackie and Clem Femelat, Ernestine and Gene Etter, Dorothy Alfred, Connie Alfred, and Fannie Sweaks and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
