William Carl Lakey's Obituary
Graveside services for Mr. William Carl Lakey, age 81 of Henderson, will be held Thursday April 30, 2009 at 1:00PM in the Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville with Rev. Chuck Hittle officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. Lakey died Friday April 24, 2009 in a Kilgore nursing facility.
William Carl Lakey was born July 14, 1927 in Water Valley, Mississippi, he was a retired mining equipment salesman, and attended the Grandview Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife Claudine Lakey, daughter Shelia and son Jerry.
Survivors include his son Larry Lakey of Henderson; grandchildren, Christian Gautier of Overton, Stacy Lakey of Overton, Jason Lakey of Kilgore, Dana Trotter of Lincoln, Nebraska, Shawn Larned of Childress, Corey Bevers of Henderson. Also surviving are eight great grandchildren, and family friends Diana Lakey and Chad Rainwater.
