William Alexander Findlater's Obituary
Graveside services for William Alexander Findlater, of Longview, will be 2 PM Friday, May 23, at Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Tyler officiating. Mr. Findlater was born October 27, 1927, in Newcastle, England and departed on May 19, 2008 and resided in Longview, TX. He was a merchant Navy seaman at the end of World War II, an employee of Polysar Corp. in Sarnia, Canada and Akron, Ohio, then Bayer Corp in Ohio until he retired in 1994 to Longview, TX. Mr. Findlater is predeceased by his wife, Virginia Anne Findlater, Longview, TX;his brother, Frank Findlater of Widnes, Cheshire, England and his parents, Jessica Treacy and Alexander Findlater, of England. He is survived by children; in Canada, Jean Beatty, her husband, Kevin, grandchildren, Tristan, David, Matthew, Travis, of Shakespeare, Ont; Deborah Cantwell, her husband, Terry, grandchildren, Aja, Jessica, Tyler of Stony Plain, AB; Susan Bellefeuille, her husband Bernie, grandchildren, Jesse, Amy, Joshua of Wallaceburg, Ont; RobertFindlater, his wife Deinah Lawrence, grandchild, Claire of Ajax, Ont; Ian Findlater, his wife, Darlene, grandchildren, Chelsea, Madison, of Wallaceburg, Ont.; William Findlater, his wife Lisa, grandchildren, Natalie, Gabrielle, of Wallaceburg, Ont; in England, Jan Findlater, her partner, Peter Schiener, grandchildren, Seve, Rhue; and in the USA, by stepchildren, Vicky Mikuenski, her husband, Mick, of Spring, TX; Lisa Moore, of Arlington, TX. He is also survived by sister-in-laws, Iris Sapp of Longview, TX; Margaret Findlater of Widnes, Cheshire, England; and also many nieces and nephews of England and USA.
