Bill Knutson passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and so many who knew him by his friendly smile and kind greeting. Bill was born on June 30, 1922, In Rake, Iowa, to Eddie and E Read Obituary
Mr. Wild Bill as I affectionately called sweet Mr. Bill Knutson, was a a wonderful friend for too short a time, The first time time we met at Arabella, I looked forward to trading smiles and happy times with Wild Bill, a name I called him when he jovially laughed and called me Rowdy Douty. I always looked forward to seeing him during meals . We played often times at meals by shooting each other with imaginary guns. If he used a six shooter, I used a rifle and enjoyed a Texas laugh. Both of us missed, and laughed. Our good times bonded us and I miss him. Thank you family for a sweet, happy man that has blessed my life.
Mr. Knutson was a wonderful person, who I was so honored, to have been able to care for. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

To the Family of Willard Knutson,
On behalf of the members of the American Legion, Kenneth B. May Post 232, Longview, TX, I wish to take this opportunity to express our sincere condolences in the passing of Willard Knutson. Although Willard was unable to attend Post meetings as his years grew to be very many, he was always a generous contributor monetarily which meant great help to the programs which the American Legion sponsored.
Also, his service to his God and his country will be forever valued, him serving in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Div. in both the Battle of the Bulge and the Normandy Invasion was a real distinct service from still another of "The Greatest Generation." Also, his love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was evident in his smile and in his strong Christian beliefs.
Our prayers of comfort for now and for the coming days are with all of you.

To Know A Man Like Mr Bill Is A BLESSING upon Blessings , I work at Arabella taking care of him . To Have A Man That NEVER Complained about anything , a man that LOVES hugs , Always smiled & Wanted To Make Sure You Were Okay Before He Was ! Mr Bill Has Always Been Sweet To Everyone Since The Day I Met Him . He Always Asked " Kt could you push me to my room " & soon as we get there it was those warm loving hugs he would make sure I didn't leave without & he always told me " Kt love yourself & never complain because it could always be worse " I will always love " uncle bill " as I would call him 😌 Sweet sweet man , praying for his beautiful family
