Wilda Evelyn Samford - Coffman
"With abundant blessings, too many to count, that have brought us closer together", Wilda Coffman went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 16, 2010.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, May 19, at Rader Funeral Home from 6 - 8pm and the funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm Thursday, May 20th at the Ore City Church of Christ.
Wilda was born January 9, 1932 to Gerald Dillard and Anna Ruth Mullins and was preceded in death by her sister Phyllis Boone and her brother Jerry Mullins.
Wilda was a longtime Longview resident and graduated from Longview High School in 1950. She last attended Ore City Church of Christ where she was a beloved member who cherished her church family. She was known to many as the card and pie lady in recognition of her personal ministries. Wilda is survived by her loving husband Ted Coffman, her son Dennis Samford and wife Cindy, her daughter Mary Samford Green and husband Tommy; step-daughters Rose Silvertooth and husband David, Susan Smith, Kathy Hancock and husband Jerry; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, sisters Pat Gregory, Pam Little and husband Lanny and many nieces and nephews.
Wilda's family wants to express their deepest gratitude to Mary Grace Carlisle; Dr. Margaret Schottstaedt and the incredible nurses at Beacon Hospice Margaret's House.
