Wilburn E. Trammell's Obituary
Graveside services for Wilburn Everett Trammell, 85, of Longview will be held at Rosewood Park on Friday, October 13 beginning at 12 O’clock noon. A visitation will be held on Thursday, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview TX, from 6-8pm. Mr. Trammell went to the Lord in the afternoon of October 10, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Wilburn was born on June 19, 1932 in Athens Texas to parents Robert and Daisy Trammell. Following High School, Wilburn enlisted in the US Airforce where he met his future wife. He married Bonnie Trammell in 1951. After his time in the Air Force, Mr. Trammell worked for Texas Eastman until his retirement. Wilburn was a member and master of the Pine Tree Masonic Lodge; as well as a member of the Greggton First Baptist Church. In his later life Mr. Trammell had a love for both his family and deer hunting.
Wilburn was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Bonnie Trammell; his parents, Robert W. Trammell and Daisy James; and grandson Robert Blake Trammell. Those left to remember Wilburn include his son James Trammell and his wife Colleen and his daughter, Jo Lynn McKnight as well as his numerous friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Texas Home Health for their care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greggton First Baptist Church in Wilburn’s name.
