Wendel Perry Berkley's Obituary
Wendell Perry Berkley Graveside services for Wendell Perry Berkley, 66, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2004 at Rosewood Park with the Reverend Dick Stagner officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Berkley passed away Tuesday, July 6, in Pittsburg, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 8, at the funeral home. Mr. Berkley was born January 18, 1938 in Oklahoma City, OK., to William Perry and Lillie Bell Berkley, and had been a resident of Longview since 1979. He moved to Longview from Avon Park, FL., following his retirement from the United States Air Force. He was a longtime resident of Lindsay, OK. After retirement from the Air Force, he worked for Lone Star Steel, and retired after 17 years service. Mr. Berkley enjoyed fishing and spending time on his computer. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandson, Wesley Mosser. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Pearley ?Snooks? Berkley of Longview; daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Bobby Rapone of Cape Coral, FL., and Lori and John Pool of Diana; grandsons, Dustin Mosser, Cody Pool, and Austin Pool; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Delmer Estep and Imogene and W. C. Thomas, all of Lindsay, OK.
