Wayne L. Fahle's Obituary
Wayne L. Fahle passed away at his home on the Running WF Ranch outside
Henderson, Texas on January 23, 2008. He was born in Sedan , Kansas on
July 3, 1927 to Wallace and Vera Fahle. He grew up in the Texas Panhandle
where he graduated from Pampa High School in 1945.He then served in
the Navy for 2 years, before attending Texas Tech University where he
graduated in 1950. He met his wife Jane Coffey, at Tech and they were
married August 25, 1948.
Mr. Fahle spent his career as an independent petroleum landman in
Midland, Beaumont and Henderson, Texas. Wayne was a committed
Christian and was actively involved in the Presbyterian Church as an Elder,
Deacon and Lay Minister. He taught Sunday School for over 50 years.
After retiring to Henderson, Mr. Fahle became a rancher and was very interested in riding cutting horses. He won many awards and his most
prized was being named the NCHA Rookie of the Year in 1989 at the age of
62.
He is survived by his wife, Jane of 59 years. Also his son David, his wife
Jetti, their daughters, Jordan and Jenna and his son Steven, his wife
Rebecca, their daughters, Stephanie and Evelyn.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of
Henderson at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2008, with a visitation to follow
in the Fellowship Hall immediately after the service.
As per his wishes, Mr. Fahle requested no flowers be sent and memorial
contributions be made in his name to the First Presbyterian Church, P. O.
Box 773, Henderson, Texas, 75653 for supporting his favorite charities.
