Wayne was born May 1, 1945 in Cleveland, TX. He was a very outgoing and likeable guy who never met a stranger. He was employed with MSC Industrial Supply. Wayne graduated from New London and immediately joined the Army where he served our country in the Viet Nam War. Wayne loved fishing, hunting, his Texas Longhorns, and NASCAR. He enjoyed spending time on the river – his "riverbottom" – at Lake O' the Pines.
Those left to cherish his memory are his darlin' wife of 26 years, Cynthia of Longview; brother, Sammy Autrey and wife Elaine of Lake Fork; sister-in-law, Ann Shadwell of Longview; sister-in-law, Randye and husband Hoyt Jordan of Broken Arrow, OK; niece, Marcy and husband Marc Sandefer of Longview; nephew, Josh and wife Lindsey Dzianott of Sapulpa, OK; nieces, Amy Rhoades, Jamie Cherry, and Jena Burke all of Overton; and his pride and joy, his precious grand-nieces, Presley Sandefer and Sydni Dzianott; along with many, many friends who loved him dearly.
