Memorial services for Wayne Daniel Benedict, 74, of Longview will be held in the Mobberly Baptist Church Parlor Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. with the Reverend Johnny Norwood officiating. He passed away Thursday, February 18, at his residence in Longview. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mr. Benedict was born October 31, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois and had been a resident of Longview since 1982, moving from Lake Station, Indiana. He was employed at Norris Cylinder's in Longview and was a U. S. Navy Veteran.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mary Canfield Benedict; children, Stephanie Benedict Lehr, Melissa Benedict Ormand and husband Terry, Debbie Benedict and Charles Russell Miller, Jr.; brothers, Richard and Tommy Benedict; sister, Helen Benedict; several grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Donny Porter and family and Michelle Wilkins and family for the wonderful care given. Also, thanks to "Our Norris Cylinder Family" for all your prayers and support.
