Wanda Works Moore's Obituary
Wanda Works Moore, 69, died June 7th, 2019 in Temple, Texas after a brief fight with cancer. Her memorial service will be held this Saturday, June 15th, at ten o’clock in Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Texas. A reception will follow afterwards.
Wanda was born December 29, 1949 in Odessa, Texas. She was one of three daughters born to Barney and Edith Works. She spent her years caring for children as a daycare director. For the last twenty years, she worked in radiology billing. Wanda enjoyed several artistic hobbies, including piano playing, singing, cake decorating, crocheting, and glass cutting.
She was an active member of Valley View Church in Longview, Texas, where she often played the organ and was a proud member of the Christmas Bell Choir. She had a life-long and genuine relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She imparted her beliefs to her children and those around her, lovingly, and by example.
Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, her father, and her sister, Elaine Rainey. She is survived by her three children, Douglas Moore, Christi Cullum, and Trisha Wallace. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, her sister, Hazel DeArmey, and her aunt, Daisy Freeman.
