Wanda L. Sigler
Memorial services for Wanda Lantz Sigler of Longview, Texas will be Thursday, June 26, 2003 at the First Christian Church at 2:00 PM. with the Reverend Phil Jones officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Sigler passed away peacefully early Monday morning at her residence, with her children at her bedside. She was born November 21, 1925 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to James and Ella Mae Lantz. Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, E. B. Sig Sigler.
Wanda was mother to a daughter, Kay Sigler and her spouse Jeff Smith of Houston; a son, Steve Sigler and his wife Karen of Canyon Lake; a daughter, Lou Ann Sigler and her spouse Jerry Lemons of Mt. Calm; one grandchild, Devon Sigler of Canyon Lake; a sister, Carol Bailey and her husband Joe Bob Bailey of Tyler; and two nephews, Lantz and Marty Wallace of Longview.
Wanda was a lifelong member and former Elder of the First Christian Church of Longview as well as the Church secretary and Sunday School teacher for many years. Earlier in her career, she worked as an assistant to R. G. LeTourneau before taking a secretarial position at Texas Eastman. In retirement Wanda was one of the hands on founders of the South High Street Beautification Project. After the death of her lifelong partner, Sig, she moved to Galveston for a short time before returning to be with her many friends in Longview.
Viewing will be Wednesday, June 24 at Rader Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
