Walter Hugh Moon's Obituary
Walter Hugh Moon was born on January 9, 1937, in Texarkana, Arkansas and passed away on March 8, 2022, in Longview, Texas.
Walter graduated from Texas A&M University with an Industrial Technology degree in 1960; then served from 1961 to 1966 as 1st Lt. in the 518th Engineering Company at Fort Kobbe, Canal Zone, Panama.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Judy Moon of Longview, daughter Jan Small and son-in-law Jerry Small of Longview, son Darryl Moon and daughter-in-law Nadine Moon of Jacksonville, Florida; grandsons Aaron Vannatta, Joshua Bruce, Austin Moon and Ethan Moon, three great grandchildren, and nephews Thomas, Michael and Walter Peppers.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Lynnette Bruce, son Eric Moon, parents Loy and Iris Moon and sister Juanita Peppers.
Walter loved working on various projects in his shop and in his yard as well as showing off his classic 1965 Chevrolet truck.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM followed by a memorial service at noon at Rosewood Cemetery in the mausoleum.
