Walter H. Walt Miller, Jr.'s Obituary
Funeral services for Walt Miller, 77, of Longview, will be 10 AM Thursday, May 5, in the Ford Chapel of First Baptist Church, Longview, with Reverend Dewayne Beaty officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Park Mausoleum. Rader Funeral Home, Longview, in charge of services.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, May 4, at Rader Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM.
Mr. Miller died Monday morning at a local hospital.
Walt was born October 13, 1928 in Summit, Mississippi to Walter H. Miller, Sr and Lou Ella Gordon Miller. He attended school in Summit and LSU, Baton Rouge, La. He was the owner of the EZ Shop for 42 years and was a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley; a son: W. H. Trey Miller, III and his wife LaNell; Granddaughters: Angie, Jode and Chris; Sisters: Carolyn Mueller and husband Jack of Baton Rouge and Martha Nims of Humboldt, Nebraska and several nieces.
The family request memorial donations to Heartsway Hospice and the Longview Cancer Center.
