Graveside services for Walter Gene Hester, 68, of Lake Cherokee will be held at 1 PM Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Rosewood Park. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the funeral home. Mr. Hester was born on December 5, 1941. He passed away on March 22, 2010 in a Longview hospital. He was a supervisor in the oil field industry and a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; and children, Bryan Hester and Matthew Hester; as well one brother, Cecil Hester, Jr.
