Linda,
I saw Pete's obituary and it brought a trip he and I made to the Valley many years ago, not long after you and I graduated from high school. He had that red cabover Peterbuilt and that conventional cab Autocar that had "Wake of the Red Witch" painted on the front. He wanted to get one to the Valley for a driver he had hired down there and to load the other for himself. He asked me if I would take one down for him, I owned a cabover and had never driven a conventional cab before. I took the Autocar and your dad was used to the Autocar but wanted to drive the cabover to see if it was ready to give to someone else to drive. Well I was driving down the ditch and he was driving down the middle of the road on both sides. We stopped down about Victoria and your dad said we had better change trucks before they saw us and thought we were drunk and took us off to jail. All went well from there on. I've known a lot of good people in my life but Pete was one of those special people that never had an enemy and was always there to help anyone that needed it.##imported-begin##Norris Langford##imported-end##
