Walen Otho Wright's Obituary
Walen O. Wright went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Linda, on July 17, 2022, after losing his battles with cancer, at the age of 90 years.
Walen is survived by his daughter, Debbie Nelson; granddaughters, April Nelson and Ashley Markham; great grandchildren, Payton Smith, Kirstin Saha, and Dominic Markham; and great great grandchildren, Faith Rios and Rogue Rios. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was called Pa by those who loved him dearly. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Puryear, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Wright; his parents, Otho L. and Ethel Wright; his brothers, Lloyd Wright, Coy Wright, Ella Wright Stuart, Roy Wright, and Odell Wilson; and his sisters, Viola Wright Jenkins and Alene Wilson Beasley.
Walen served in the United States Army and continued his military service following his active duty in the Army National Guard in Texarkana, Arkansas. He retired from Southwestern Electric Power Company following 40 years to spend his days playing golf.
He loved the outdoors, golfing with friends, singing and playing the guitar, and spending time with his precious family.

Cremation is under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, Texas.
A private family interment will be held at a later date at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Texarkana, Arkansas.
