W. L. Prewitt's Obituary
W. L. Prewitt age 81 of Longview passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side January 5, 2017. He was born in Hallsville, Texas April 4, 1935 to Joe and Emily Prewitt. W. L. worked hard all his life as a truck driver.
His parents Joe and Emily Prewitt, wife Margrett Mapes Prewitt, 2 sisters Jean Hamilton and Irean Moncriff and a grandson Justin Shaw all precede him in passing
Those left to cherish his memory is his first wife Janie Monk Perkins of Marshall, 2 daughters Beverly Anderson of Marshall, and Susan Shaw and her husband J. W. of Longview, 2 sons William Lewis “Tuffy” Prewitt of Karnack, and William Lee “Frog” Prewitt of DeKalb, 1 sister, Mehaly Star of Marshall, 3 step-son’s Paul, Galon, and Bryson Mapes, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Friday, January 6, 2017 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview and graveside services 2pm, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Bogata Cemetery, Bogata, TX.
