W. F. Martaindale
Funeral services for W.F. Martaindale, 92 of Daingerfield, formerly of White Oak will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2007 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with his great grandson, Bro. Phillip Mathis, Rev. L.C. Terry and friend, Jim Rhea officiating. Burial will follow in Judson Cemetery.
Mr. Martaindale was born on May 11, 1914 in Talco to A.M. J. and Willie Louise Woodard Martaindale. He passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2007 in a Longview hospital. He was a forge press operator for Marathon LeTourneau before in 1976. He was a deacon and song leader at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Cason. A loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather, he was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Lee Ottie Martaindale and Effie Martaindale; two grandsons, Leland Guidry and Artie Farrell; and 4 sisters. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Dessie and John Hancock of Irving, Nadine and Wayne Powell of Harleton, Retta Reynolds of Longview, Vonnie Guidry of Reklaw, Janice and Dave Garmon of Holland, MI, Marion and Elnora Martaindale of White Oak, John and Mona Martaindale of Ore City; and 19 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
