Vivian Wood Shepherd's Obituary
A celebration of life for Vivian Wood Shepherd, 62, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Friday, January 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery near Linden, Texas. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service on Friday.
Vivian was born in Gladewater, Texas on July 3, 1955 to Charles and Christine Wood. She went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 15, 2018 in Longview, Texas. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church and served on the W.I.N.Team (Women In Need). Vivian loved cross-stitching, traveling, solving crosswords, enjoying Mexican food with family and friends, serving at church, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her mother, Christine Wood, of Gladewater, Texas, husband of 38 years, Jay Shepherd, one son, Jamin Shepherd, his wife, Lilah, of Tyler, Texas, one daughter, Sarah Olson, husband, Erik, and one granddaughter, Aspen Ann of Granbury, Texas.
She is also survived by an uncle and aunt, Bobby and Melba Hodge, and their great grandchildren Jaylen and Jeremiah Hoff, of Bear Creek in Linden, Texas and numerous other family members.
