Funeral services for Vivian G. ?Nanny? Miles, 86, of Longview, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with the Reverend James Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. She passed away Saturday, August 13, at her daughter?s home in Nacogdoches.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Miles was born October 11, 1918 in Grayson County, Texas to Admiral Dewey and Alphal Blevins Galbreath. She had been a longtime resident of Longview before moving to Nacogdoches to be with her daughter. She was a homemaker and a former resident of Buckner Westminster Place in Longview. She was a member of the Ladies Victory Sunday School Class at the New Life Baptist Church, Longview.
Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Allen Miles; and sons Richard Miles and Charles Wilson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Susie Lee of Nacogdoches, Dorothy Ewing of Longview, Robert Wilson of Cleveland, Shirley York of Houston, and Carol Haney of Freeport; sisters, Opal Perrygo of Lindale and Betty Jo Jackson of Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
