Virginia Lee Crain Kemper West's Obituary
Funeral services for Virginia West will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home on Monday, November 19 at 12pm. Virginia went to be with the Lord in the early morning of November 13, 2018.
She was born in Acadia, LA on October 8, 1924 to parents William R “Red” and Willie Mae Crain, but soon moved to Longview with her parents during the Oil Boom of the 1930’s. Virginia was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church and active in many civic organizations, including being a volunteer for the Good Shephard Auxilliary for over thirty years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alvin Watson Kemper and Carl Preston West; parents William R and Willie Mae Crain; and brother Ervin Clay. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Graves with her husband Randy; grandchildren, Tricia Spyhalski, and Trey Adams with his wife Maggie; and a great-granddaughter, Kyra Spyhalski, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
