Virginia Scott Mammy Norris
Graveside services for Virginia Scott Mammy Norris, 84, of Hot Springs, Arkansas will be held at Two O?clock pm Wednesday December 29, 2004 at the Danville Cemetery in Kilgore with Reverend Charles Stevens officiating. Mrs. Norris passed away December 25, 2004 at her home in Hot Springs.
She was born July 4, 1920 in Hot Springs and had lived in Longview since 1955, and then she moved back to Hot Springs and had lived there the past seven years. She was an Optical Technician for Childress and Childress Optometrist for Twenty years and was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church in Kilgore.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Nelson Eugene ?Buddy? Norris, her mother and father Laura and Joe Scott, her 5 brothers, Gail, Houston, Loyd, Leon, and Horace Scott. One grandson Bobby Hall.
She is survived by her only daughter, Anna Laura Keene Hall, and son-in-law, Lester Bud Hall of Hot Springs, Ark.; her only sister, Ruth Agner two sister-in-laws, Sybil and Donna Scott, four grandchildren, Angela Galloway and husband Dave, Laura Mitchell and husband Ronnie, David Oney and wife Mindy, Teresa Childs and husband Clint, seven great grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday December 28, 2004 from 6pm until 8 pm.
