She was born in Princeton, Indiana on August 3, 1945 to Herman and Ila Carpenter who preceded her in death. She spent her early years in Grayville, Illinois and then went to Oakland City Indiana University. After college she worked in radiology. She pursued her radiology field further in mammography at Internal Medicine in Longview for 20 years before her retirement. She also worked as a night receptionist at Rader Funeral Home for a short time.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bill Osborn. Also surviving her are her greatest pride and joy, her twin daughters and their families, Mandi Macdonald and husband, Loren of Longview and Jennifer Morrison of The Colony, Texas; grandchildren, Josh Morrison and fiancé, Brianna Bennett, Brianna Morrison and Cory Jones, Colton Macdonald and Savannah Macdonald, and her great grandchildren, Brayden and Aleigha Jones. She is also survived by her brother, Welby Carpenter and wife, Linda of Newburg, Indiana and dearest niece, Kimberly Shelton and husband, Pat of Virginia along with numerous cousins.
A host of loving friends survive her and will always cherish her wonderful outlook on life and the joy she brought to them. She was a strong, determined and loving mother and the best friend anyone could ever hope to have.
Along with taking care of Bill, raising twins and working, she was always ready to help a friend and faithfully volunteered with the American Cancer Society locally raising awareness and support through the Cattle Baron’s Ball and years of Relay for Life. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church and the Yates Sunday School class. She had great fun serving on the Garage Sale Committee. She loved her many trips to Roundtop with the girls; all the antique auctions, her friends at the Gladewater Antique Emporium and vacationing in Aruba. She never met a stranger and never let anyone feel like a stranger in her presence!
