Virginia Olds' Obituary
Virginia Olds of Longview TX, formerly from Benton, AR went to meet her Lord and be reunited with her husband, Joseph on April 1, 2017. She was born on May 4, 1932 to Charles and Nancy Simons in Monarch, OK. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joseph M. Olds, daughter, Esther Craig, sister’s Wilma Walker, Dorothy Cummins, Luretta Metheny and brother, Billy Simons.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Cooley and her husband Bob, of Longview, TX, Stella Messner and her husband Everett of Twin Falls, ID and son Gary and his wife Diane of Benton and son-in-law, Mike Craig of Trumann, AR. She had 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Calvary Tabernacle on Hawkins Pkwy in Longview with Rev. Charles Chargois officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
Acting as pallbearers will be Joseph Maberry, Cameron Maberry, Daven Reese, Mike Follingstad, Ben Martinez and Scott Bowles.
Graveside services will be held the next day, on April 6 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR at 12 noon with Rev. Everett Messner and Rev. Jay Emerson officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice of East Texas, 100 W Hawkins Pkwy #A, Longview, TX 75605. Arrangements are under the care of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
