Virginia Sue Megason's Obituary
On March 6, 2026, Virginia “Gigi” Megason, 94, was welcomed into Heaven and met Jesus in His loving arms.
Born on August 3, 1931, Gigi lived a life full of love, faith, laughter, and service. She was truly full of life; fun-loving, spirited, and a little spitfire in the very best way. She had a gift for bringing joy wherever she went and never met a stranger. With her cute outfits, quick wit, and habit of saying exactly what was on her mind, Gigi made people laugh, feel welcome, and know they were loved.
Gigi loved Jesus deeply and lived out her faith through service to others. She served as a greeter at church, volunteered in her community through Meals on Wheels, and was always there for friends and family in times of need. She had a servant’s heart and a special way of showing up for people, offering love, encouragement, and joy in both big and small moments.
More than anything, Gigi deeply loved her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she treasured the people she loved most. Her presence was bright, her spirit was joyful, and her sense of humor was unforgettable. She will be remembered for the happiness she brought to others, the friendships she formed everywhere she went, and the love she gave so freely.
Gigi was also blessed with many lifelong friendships that meant so much to her throughout the years. While several of those dear friends passed before her, she continued to hold their memories close and remained grateful for the lasting bonds they shared. She also leaves behind a few cherished friends whom she had known and loved for more than 60 years, a true reflection of the loyalty, love, and deep connection she brought to the people in her life.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Cindy Cooper and her husband, Ray Cooper, and Lesa Wyatt; her grandchildren, Will Cooper, Natalie Cooper, Lauren Bjork, and Luke Wyatt; her beloved great-granddaughters, Zoey Bjork and Willow Oshodi; and her two nieces, Linda Wickersham and Nancy Fisher, and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Sue McDonald; her husband, Larry Megason; her sister, Ann Bonham; and her beloved son-in-law, Randy Wyatt.
A graveside service will be held on March 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Grace Hill Cemetery, with a reception to follow.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff at Whispering Pines for the loving care and kindness you showed her. We are truly grateful for each of you.
Gigi will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
