Virginia Marie Bemis' Obituary
Memorial services for Virginia Marie Bemis, 78, of Longview will be 2 PM Monday, August 5, 2002 at the Rosewood Park Mausoleum with
Reverend Randall Bryant officiating.
Mrs. Bemis was born September 14, 1923 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Arthur and Thelma Armstrong. She died Sunday afternoon at her residence.
Mrs. Bemis worked for LTV Corporation as secretary and was a member of the Methodist church. She was also an avid bridge player and she and her husband was named Upshur County Outstanding Senior Citizen Couple in 1991.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to Greater Hospice of Texas, 814 Gilmer Rd., Longview, TX 75604.
Mrs. Bemis is survived by her husband of 58 years, Floyd E. Bemis of Longview; sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and LeAnn Bemis, Bradley and Mary
Ann Bemis, Mark and Sharon Bemis, all of Longview. She is also survived by five grandsons and three great granddaughters.
