Virginia Lea Lynch
Funeral services for Virginia Lea Lynch, 87, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with the Reverend Jay Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. She passed away Tuesday, August 23, in Longview.
Visitation will held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lynch was born June 23, 1924 in Dallas, TX to Thelma and Charles Warrick. She was a longtime volunteer in Longview teaching Bible studies in area nursing homes and in her church, Winterfield United Methodist Church, and was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She worked for Southwestern Life Insurance Company in Dallas and worked for Dr. Robert Comer when she moved to Longview.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and by her husband of 65 years, H. T. "Buddy" Lynch, who died in October of 2009.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Linda Martin and her son Richard Lynch; grandchildren Kristen, Craig and Elizabeth, Jennifer and Romeo, and great grandchildren Jordan, Joshua, Kara, Peyton, Sean, Cameron and Cade; her sister Bennie Moore and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her childhood friend since she was five years old, Billie Phillips, who was like family to her.
