Virginia "Ginger" Ann (Howard) Womack's Obituary
Ginger was born on August 21, 1945, in Gainesville, Texas to Loren Wright Howard, Jr. and Lawana Virginia Coulter and passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Longview, Texas.
Ginger fell in love with Lake O’ the Pines in Marion County, Texas, where she made her home for nearly 50 years. Her door was always open and over the years she gathered many “unadopted” sons and daughters who loved her as their own. She proudly gave birth to four boys: Michael Loren Leslie Womack, Douglas Edward McClure, Rodney Neal Womack, and Dennis Eugene Womack.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael; brothers Loren Wright Howard III and Edward Coulter Howard.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Douglas McClure and wife Bobbie; Rodney Womack and wife Marla; and Dennis Womack and wife Diane. Ginger is also survived by nine grandchildren - Michael Leslie, Steven Womack, Cody Womack, Scooter Womack, Jonathan McClure, Olivia Womack, Abby Womack, Natalie Womack VanCise, and Nicole Womack - along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were blessed by her presence.
The family will hold a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friends of Lake O’ the Pines (https://friendsoflotp.com/).
