Services for Virginia Horner ?Jinx? Silvius, 80, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Friday, March 5, 2004 at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Mark Horner officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road.
Mrs. Silvius was born on April 28, 1923 in Hoisington, Kansas to Clarence and Jessie Kline. She passed away on Monday, March 1, 2004 in a Longview nursing facility.
She was a Red Cross volunteer, served as volunteer coordinator for hospital emergency services in many military and general hospitals around the country, and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
A loving mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Silvius was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Horner, husband, Bud Silvius, and brothers, Drew, Joe, and Burton Kline. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Terry Gibbs of Waxhaw, NC.; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Mark and Susan Horner of Longview; grandchildren, Jamie and Leilani Gibbs of Waxhaw, NC., Elizabeth Mandry of Lubbock, James Geary of Austin, Anthony and Bethany Horner of Longview; and sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Shep Artel of Oakland, CA.
