Funeral services for Virginia G. ?Ginger? Brodie, 34, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, February 17, 2003 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road, with the Reverend Don Beebe officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Monday, February 16, 2004 at the funeral home.
?Ginger? was born on July 8, 1969 in Tyler to Gordon and Francine Brodie. She passed away on Saturday morning, February 14, 2004 in a Longview hospital.
She was employed as a customer service manager by the Longview News Journal, and attended Grace Baptist Church in Liberty City.
A loving mother, daughter, and sister, ?Ginger? is survived by her daughters, Maranda Lenz and Skylar Brodie both of Longview; mother, Francine Mellon of Longview; father, Gordon Brodie of Sulphur Springs; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Wendi Brodie of Huntsville; uncles and aunts, Reed and Patricia Franklin of Lake Palestine, Joel and Lucy Franklin of Lake O? the Pines, Jack and Barbara Franklin of Aiken, South Carolina; numerous cousins; and special friend, Johnny Werner of Huntsville.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor ?Ginger? to a charity of choice.
