Virginia Laurue Allen's Obituary
Virginia LaRue Allen, 89, was born October 4, 1925, in Duncan, OK., to H.C. and Ruth (Duncan) Bennett. She passed away February 25, 2015. She married Lawrence R. Allen in May 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas, and they moved to Longview shortly thereafter. They attended First Christian, Woodland Christian, and Mobberly Baptist. She was a homemaker and during the 60s she volunteered in Special Ed classrooms, was active in PTA, and was a Blue Bird leader. She was proceeded in death by her husband; and great granddaughter, Reina Lee Starr. She is survived by daughter, Rebecca (Scott) Campbell; grandchildren, Scott Campbell II, Heather Green, and Chasity (William) Davis; great-grandchildren, Marrion Mobley, Dalton Pinnick, Christopher Campbell, Zach Wilkerson, and Ashlye Wilkerson; and special friend, Mary Ann Campbell. The family would like to thank the staff at Summer Meadows Nursing Home for
the excellent care and love they showed Mrs. Allen during her years there. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. No services are planned.
