Virginia A. Smith's Obituary
A celebration of the life of Virginia A. Smith, 72, of Longview, will be 2 PM Saturday, March 3, 2007, at First Baptist Church Judson with Reverend Albert Murdoch and Jon Mark Fowler officiating.
Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was born August 21, 1934 in Jacksonville, TX to Raymond and Alma Johnson. She worked as a nurse and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Judson. She had been a resident of Longview for 43 years coming from Smackover, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday evening, from 6-8 PM.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Sebron Smith of Longview; children, Misty & Jon Mark Fowler of Cedar Hill, Texas, Allen and Tracey Smith of Houston, Texas, Debra Gates and friend, Ricky Langford of Hallsville, Texas; grandchildren, Emily, Erin, and Ezrie Gates, Rachel Fowler, Caroline, and Meaghan Smith; brother, Bob Johnson of Freeport, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to a favorite charity.
