Memorial service for Virginia Kay Jones Pliler, 77, of Longview will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 3 p.m. Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday November 11, 2017. Mrs. Pliler passed away in Houston on November 7, 2017.
Mrs. Pliler was born in Longview on August 6, 1940 to Elijah and Kathryn Jones. Her children were her life and she was a committed and loving mother. She was retired from Texas Eastmand and was the dessert cook there. Her middle name could be Let’s Go ! She loved being on the go.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Allen and Angela Pliler of Ganado, TX; daughters and son-in-law Beth and Dale Cook of Katy, TX, Emily Pliler of Katy; brothers and sisters-in-law Richard and Barbara Jones of Longview, Paul and Kay Jones of Marshall; sister Paulette Wilson of Longview; grandchildren and their spouses Joseph and Christy Pliler, Katherine and Ben Leedom, Jessica and Eric Brown, Becky Cook and Chris Cook; and three great grandchildren; niece and nephews J.D. Jones, Daniel Jones, Danny Johnson, Randy Johnson, Jennifer McGuffy, Alex Jones and Nick Jones. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Hallsville.
