Violet Blanche Fairweather's Obituary
Violet Blanche Fairweather, 93, passed into the loving arms of the Lord on October 5, 2010. She was born May 5, 1917, in Minto, Manitoba, Canada, to John and Ida Simmons. She and her family came to the united States and became naturalized citizens. They settled in York, North Dakota.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence and her daughter, Lucretia. Violet and Lawrence lived on the Fairweather family farm in Souris, North Dakota, and raised their family, John, Lucretia and Ken.
She is survived by sons, John and Margie of Carmel, Indiana and Ken and Carol of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Steven and Christine of Fontana, California, Rick and Julie of Carmel, Indiana, Brian and Colleen of Greely, Colorado, Danny and Stacey of Commerce, Texas and Susie and Tim of Longview, Texs; great-grandchildren are Jackson, Mitchell, Grace, Meggie, Logan, Kinley and Jacob.
Vistation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, TX. Services and burial will be 12 Noon Friday at Restland Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
