Vina ?Nanny? Moody
Graveside services for Vina ?Nanny? Moody, 95, of Longview will be held at 12 Noon Monday, July 2, 2007 at Alpine Cemetery, Longview with the Reverend Grayson Moody officiating. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away, Thursday evening June 28, in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moody was born September 18, 1911 in Kenmare, North Dakota to Jergen and Elsie Christensen. She had been a resident of Longview since 1980, moving from Arlington, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Longview. ?Nanny? was a very caring person and was dearly loved by her family and many life long friends. She especially loved children and animals and enjoyed reciting ??The Lord?s Prayer? in Danish.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Nancy Webb and Juanita Oram both of Longview; grandchildren, Shirley Taylor, Kevin Webb, Mark Oram, Steve Oram and Lisa Oram Nobles; 8 great grandchildren; her brother, Arnold Christensen of West Palm Beach, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
