Victor Gil Alejandre's Obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Victor Gil Alejandre, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on December 11, 2024, at the age of 81. Victor was born on April 15, 1943, in Cuitlahuac, Veracruz Mexico, to parents Jose Gil and Amalia Alejandre, and he later became a cherished member of the Tatum community in Texas.
Victor's journey in life was marked by hard work and commitment. As a welder’s helper, he brought both passion and precision to his craft, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him. His dedication extended beyond his profession, shaping him into a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Victor is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Eugenia Becerra de Gil; son Victor A Gil Becerra and wife Marcela Gonzalez Gil, daughters Claudia Gil Becerra and husband Cesar Cortes Bello, Lizbeth Gil Becerra and husband Jose Guadalupe Martinez Diaz, grandchildren; Claudia Cortes Gil, Cassandra Cortes Gil, Alexi Gonzalez Gil, Avril Gonzalez Gil, Jobeth Martinez, Marliz Martinez, Haylee Martinez, great-grandchildren, Claudia Clareth Cancino Cortes and Liam Pereda Cortes, and brothers Jose Luis Gil Alejandre and Raul Gil Alejandre. His passing leaves an indelible void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Gil and Amalia Alejandre, and brother Jose Maria Gil Alejandre.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation, which will be held at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview on December 15, 2024, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and lasting until 5:00 p.m. There will be a Funeral Mass on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 10 a.m., at San Pedro Fisherman Catholic Church in Tatum.
In honoring Victor's memory, we reflect on a life filled with dedication, kindness, and the warmth he brought to those around him. His spirit will endure in the memories shared and the lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Rajiv Vij and Nurse Maria Trejo, for always being there and taking such wonderful care of Victor and being a wonderful advocate for him receiving the best care possible. The family is so grateful for all that you did. Thank you!
