We knew Vernon and family for many years and was in his S.S.Class and other church activities for several years.He was a very good friend and a person that you could rely on to do whatever he said. His parting from those near him can certainly be uplifted in this time of sorrow, by resting assured that he is now in the very presence of the King of Kings. We love you Brother Vernon. Vernon Williams was a true gentleman. I first knew him in about 1947 watching him shoot baskets on an outdoor court at Mt Enterprise. His brother Poochie and i were in the same class there. Later when I became a State Farm agent we were in the same district and had a number of pleasant associations there. A great loss. Jerry Samford
