To Mrs. Warren's family,
I was one on her student assistants while I was in LHS Sr. '73. She was a wonderful lady to work for. I had many discussions with her that helped me decide to earn a BS in Library Science at TWU. I don't know if she ever knew how much she helped me back then. She was always kind and had time for everyone. My deepest sympathies at this time.

Aunt Vera Belle will be truly missed by all of us she leaves behind. There are so many fond memories of growing up and the times our families spent together. I especially remember the family reunions spent at lake LBJ. The parents playing bridge and we teenagers going out at night and not always sucessfully trying to stay out of trouble. I had the privilege of being in Mrs. Warren's 10th grade English class before she transferred to the Library. Mrs. Warren was one of the most memorable of my teachers; she had a way of bringing out the best in her students. I was also a personal friend, as her son was my best buddy while growing up, from 1st grade on. Mrs. Warren will live in my memory as one of those bright lights we sometimes have the good luck to call a friend.##imported-begin##David Lamb##imported-end##

Such great memories of Uncle Ollie and Aunt Vera Belle. The "East Texas Relatives" were always fun to be around and so very interesting to talk to and learn from. VB and I shared of love of the "Hilltop", and when I first got a job working for the SMU Athletic Department, she was one of the very first to call me with congratulations!! I suspect there is a peaceful, beautiful fishing hole that both Ollie and VB are gazing at....resting in the Lord's care!
