Velma Irene Kunkel's Obituary
Memorial services for Mrs. Velma Irene Kunkel, age 91 of Henderson, will be held Saturday November 8, 2008 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in Olney, Texas at a later date.
Mrs. Kunkel died Friday October 31, 2008 in a local nursing home.
She was born October 30, 1917 in Young County, Texas, she was a retired sales person where she worked in clothing sales. She was a member of the Lutheran Church, and a member of the LWML.
She was preceded in death by husband Martin Kunkel, and daughter Wanda Bruton
Survivors include her daughter Judy Owen of Henderson, Grandchildren, Shannon Allen of Henderson, Deana Bruton-Claus of Charlotte, NC, Devin Bruton of Denton, and Karma Smith of Lawton, OK.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
