Velma Lee (Waller) Grider's Obituary
Graveside services for Velma Lee (Waller) Grider, 97, of Henderson will be 3:00pm Friday January 26, 2018 at Crims Chapel Cemetery with Dr. David Higgs officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:30pm Friday before the service. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Velma was born March 5, 1920 in Rusk County to Marvin Raymond and Minnie Viola Waller. She passed away January 22, 2018 in Henderson. She had worked in the grocery business and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henderson.
She is preceded in death by her husband Sherman, her parents, sisters, Thelma Bristow, Opal Jones, Bernice Suber, Louise Johnson, and brother Alpheus Waller.
Survivors include son, Ottis Ray Waller of Gladewater; grandchildren, Bill Waller and wife Laurie of Mansfield, Kathy Weedon of Bedford, Jessica Clapper and husband Taylor of Longview; sisters, Ann Waller of Henderson, Martha Swinney of Tyler; brother, W.R. (Reo) Waller of Henderson; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews.
