Veda Guin's Obituary
Visitation for Veda Guin, 90, of Longview, will be held Friday, the 22nd at 9am with service to follow at 10am at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Pastor Jan Simmons will be officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Guin passed away Sunday, January 17th in Longview. She was born November 10, 1930 in Springfield, IL to Charles and Flora Dodd. They preceded her in death. Veda Guin was a retired medical transcriptionist from Good Shepherd Hospital and continued working from home for many years. She enjoyed her church family at Breakthru Church and was always helping others. She had a kind, giving spirit and loved her family dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Charles Guin, son Jack Charles Guin (Chuck) Jr, daughter Kimberly Bryant and Rhonda Brooks, and granddaughter Laura Anne Perry.
She is survived by daughters Tena Wells and husband Faron of Michigan, and Jackie Stith and husband Eric of Longview, and son Jason Guin, granddaughters Lesley Pettigrew and husband Jerry of Longview, Mackenzie Anne Stith of Port Arthur, and grandsons Peyton Perry and wife Catherine of Longview, and Rusty Bryant of Longview, and great grandson Caden Pettigrew.
The family would like to thank Hawkins Creek, Texas Home Health, and Heritage Rehabilitation Nursing Center for their care and assistance during this difficult time.
