Vaughn Kee's Obituary
Marvis Vaughn Kee, Sr, 74, passed from this life on June 19, 2023 in Tyler with family by his side. He was born July 13, 1948 in Jacksonville to parents Noble and Doris Kee.
Vaughn graduated from Henderson High School with the Class of 1967 and was a lifetime resident of Henderson Tx. He was a Community business owner in Henderson for over 30 years where he enjoyed taking care of his customers and providing honest and reliable service with a smile. After his retirement, he devoted spending time with his family and friends and watching sports of any kind. He had a genuine love for music including Bluegrass, Gospel, Classic country and loved to attend gospel concerts. He was a lifetime member of the Henderson Church of the Nazarene, where he was surrounded by a second family in fellowship of worship.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Denise (Kee) Hudson of Henderson; grandchildren Kayla Madison Hudson, Tyler Vaughn Kee, Madelyn Elizabeth Kee, all of Henderson; sister Fonda Bassett Thompson of Henderson; brother Phil Kee of Overton; brother-in-law Frank Hightower of Longview; nephews Damon Bassett, Darin Bassett, Scott Hightower, and Brian Hightower.
He was preceded in death by his parents Noble and Doris Kee; sister Gayla Hightower; brother Carl Don Kee, and his son, Marvis Vaughn Kee Jr.
Funeral Services to be provided by Rader Funeral Home in Henderson. Visitation will be held on June 23 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral will be on June 24 from 10:00-12:00, including a brief graveside ceremony at Rusk Co Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to his church, Henderson Church of the Nazarene, 906 W. Main, Henderson, Tx 75652.
