Ms Sommerfeld was a teacher on mine. She always had so much love in her heart. I have so many funny memories of her in class. Once, while she was discussing school shooter drill and if it actually happened. She said, and I quote, “I’m going to use the fire extinguisher or them then I’m going to use the fire extinguisher” while gesturing of slamming the extinguisher. She also didn’t know a life skills student was yelling out in the hallway, so she went out and told him to be quiet before realizing. She came back so embarrassed and dropped her head on the table, all we could do was laugh. I had a concussion that was pretty severe during her class so she would let me lay my head down and give me advice on things to do to help. She always called us her “precious cargo” and had the best attitude when taking care of her student. She always talked about how proud she was of her daughter, Sam, and all her volleyball games. She had pictures of her that she would proudly show off. I wish there was more time with her.
