Valeria "Val" Caffey
Funeral services for Valeria "Val" Caffey, 80, of Hallsville will be held at Ten O'clock Am Wednesday May 13, 2009 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road. Interment will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Caffey passed away Saturday May 9, 2009 in Longview.
She was born February 17, 1929 in Sandusky, Ohio to Russell C. and Ruth Mayer Hullinger. She had lived in the Hallsville and Longview area since 1951. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. She was the League Co-coordinator at Oil Bowl Lanes from 1975 to 1983 when she retired. She was past President of VFW Auxiliary Post #4002, and a member of Post 8913. She was a officer on two bowling leagues, and coach and received various awards through these leagues.
She is survived by her son, Mike Caffey and wife Lora of Hallsville, Texas; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brother, Tom Hullinger and wife Jeannie of Mansfield, Ohio; sisters, Marilyn Earhart and husband Bill of Ohio, Virginia Turner and husband Coy of Dayton, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Caffey, her parents, Ruth M and Russell Hullinger, daughters, Linda Caffey, and Mary Hedgecock sister, Mary Crane.
