Ulletta "Bobbie" Davis' Obituary
Ulletta Ann “Bobbie” Davis, 93, of Longview, Texas, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 21, 2025.
Bobbie was born on October 10, 1931, in Mansfield, Louisiana. She married the love of her life, Doy H. Davis, on July 1, 1949. In 1953, they relocated to Longview, Texas, where they built a beautiful life together and raised their three children.
Bobbie and Doy were devoted members of Mobberly Baptist Church for their entire time in Longview. Their faith served as the foundation of their lives and was evident in everything they did. Bobbie’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother, a proud grandmother of eight grandchildren, and a cherished great-grandmother to fifteen great-grandchildren. Her warmth and affection created a home full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She especially enjoyed life in the country, where she and her grandchildren spent joyful days playing with goats and exploring the outdoors. She also found joy in gardening and working in her yard alongside her beloved Doy. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Doy H. Davis; her parents, Ullie and Inez Butler; her sister Marilynn Williams and husband Jack; and her sister Lois Boudreaux and three great grandchildren who were miscarried before birth.
She is survived by her three children, Lanny Davis and wife Martha, Rosalin Collier and husband Bruce, Lauri McGaughey and husband Dale. Her legacy also lives on through her eight grandchildren: Matthew Davis (Karen), Aaron Collier (Stacy), Courtney Tolbert (Jim), Clayton Collier (Annie), Emilly Howard (Ryan), Cameron Davis, Mason McGaughey (Kayla), and Madison McGaughey (Roxsan); And her fifteen precious great-grandchildren: Cameron (Austin), Christa, Caris, Caroline, Caden, Josie, Sydney, Judson, Hudson, Harrison, Tate, Jordan, Jessa, Carlie, and Emma. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Mobberly Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Bobbie’s faith, love, and kindness will forever be remembered by her family and all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed.
