Truman Allan Blake, JR's Obituary
Allan was born July 11, 1935, in Shreve-port, LA, and passed away December 14, 2008 in Longview, TX. He grew up in Ringgold, LA. He graduated from Ring-gold High School in 1955. He attended and played basketball at Panola Jr. Col-lege. He worked for Ivan Smith Furni-ture for several years before moving to Coushatta, LA. and opening Allan Blake Furniture. He was very active in the Community. He was in the Jaycees, Ark-latex Bass Club and a member of the Coushatta Country Club. He then moved to East Texas in late 1970 where he was a successful business man. He retired in 1996 from Blake Furniture. He loved to cook, dance, and watch LSU football. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and full of bull! He loved and enjoyed spending time with all of his friends and family. Allan was preceded in death by his par-ents, Truman and Emma Ree Blake; brothers, Joe Earl Blake, David F. Col-linsworth, George Jack Collinsworth; and one sister, Clara Blake. He is survived by his wife of 16 Years, Charmaine Blake; son, Jeff Rodawald of Orlando, FL., Rich Rodawald and wife Jamie of Collinsville, IL.; son, Terry Allan Blake and wife Jen-nifer of Denton, TX; daughters, Kim Smith of Shreveport, LA., and Tiffany Duran and her husband Neil of Long-view; brother, W.R. "Micky" Blake and wife Sue of Harlton; sister, Ann Haynie and husband Jerry of Longview, Eloise Keith and husband, Bo of Haughton, LA; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchil-dren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Harlton First United Methodist Church in Harleton, TX. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at Rader Funeral Home of Long-view.
